The Architect of Modern Greek Shooting


The journey of Leonidas Mitsialis in the world of clay target shooting began in 1991, marking the start of a career defined by excellence, record-breaking performances, and structural innovation. Until 2004, he maintained a formidable competitive presence across the Olympic disciplines of Trap, Double Trap, and Skeet, earning numerous distinctions and solidifying his reputation among the national elite. In 2005, he pivoted toward the various forms of Sporting, a strategic move that would eventually reshape the landscape of the sport in Greece.


In 2011, Mitsialis played the most pivotal role in the introduction and official establishment of Compak Sporting in Greece, breathing new life into the domestic shooting community. His competitive dominance was further validated in 2014 when he was crowned National Champion at the 2nd Greek National Compak Sporting Championship, setting a new national record with a historic performance. His impact expanded to the international stage in 2015 and 2016 as a founding member of the newly formed Hellenic National Compak Sporting Team, representing Greece at the highest level in European and World Championships.

Beyond his athletic achievements, Leonidas Mitsialis has dedicated his life to the education and development of future champions.

He earned his official coaching degree from the General Secretariat of Sports (G.G.A.) in 2007, followed by an elite certification from the British Clay Pigeon Shooting Association (C.P.S.A.) in 2009. Operating under the prestigious "Leonidas Mitsialis Shooting Academy," he has worked tirelessly as a professional instructor, building a legacy of countless national and international successes. The pinnacle of his coaching career was reached in 2024 and 2025, when his expert guidance proved instrumental in securing World Championship medals for the Greek National Veteran and Men’s teams, respectively, cementing his status as a world-class mentor.
